Rodrigo Calderón

Rodrigo Calderón is responsible for the management of the patent area. He has 23 years of experience in intellectual property, having worked in renowned firms in Mexico. He is a well-rounded professional, specializing in all aspects of new creations, including patents, utility models, industrial designs and plant varieties, as well as technology transfer, patent litigation and related matters.

His practice is focused on general patent consulting, drafting and preparation of patent applications, prosecution and resolution of formal and substantive examinations, prior art analysis, as well as technical support in patent litigation.

He has worked on numerous "high profile" patent prosecution and litigation cases and has participated in the negotiation and drafting of important reforms to the Mexican patent law.

 His expertise also extends to other areas of the life sciences, and he offers specialized consulting in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs.

Education:

Biologist from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1999).

Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2002). 

Diploma in Intellectual Property from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2004).

He has authored and co-authored several articles and chapters on intellectual property and life sciences.
